Species: Human

Appearance: Irish-born, 5'8", 130 lbs, dark brown eyes, androgynous appearance and very thick, curly dark hair. Very lanky and lightweight, likely from malnourishment and personal neglect as a result of their addictive behavior.

Age: 34

Personality: Vane appeared quiet and standoffish when Maya and I first found them. Over time, they opened up more here at base and seem ecstatic whenever they are asked about their visions. Vane will speak for hours on end about them, and if interrupted will immediately become hostile and become just as suspicious of us as when we took them in. However, they have never resorted to physical violence. They were hiding away in their 'safehouse' (though how can you really apply the term to that of a one-bedroom in the middle of the Bronx). The community there knew of them, their habits and the potential danger they pose to themself and others, and generally kept their distance.

Credentials: Vane is not fit for Arcana field operations and is disallowed contact with any non-Arcana operative. Continuous engagement with the subject is required in an attempt at rehabilitation.

Recruitment History: As a result of their drug overuse and the mental effects those substances have had on the subject, Vane was brought in via 5150 by Arcana Health and Safety Associates.

Notes:

PREVIOUS RECORD FROM 07/05/1983 - Continuous use of psychedelic compounds to aid in their connection to the entity appears to have degraded their mind into a perpetual state of psychosis. Patient insists otherwise, but demonstrates many severe symptoms of mania. Vane rarely comes out of this state, hardly sleeps, and is prone to both delusions and vivid visual hallucinations. Often Vane can be heard on the floor we reserved for their leisure, pacing at all hours of the night and speaking continuously to themself.

10/12/1983 00:53 - Vane speaks about the entity 'Tzfardeiya' in excess. I've compiled some quotes of theirs. I would provide context if I had any:

"It's here. It's here! We are the next world! It's okay, it'll finally be okay. We will be better, so much better, so- so much..."

"They've killed the star before!! They'll do it again, we'll do it again, Archer! Mark my words!!!"

"We are are not mere dogs who hunt rabbits, slaves of the undefined Patron, or aimlessly violent dream walkers and skin shredders. We have purpose as much as we have hunger, and our plague is perfection."

(They often chant the scientific names of insects. Repeatedly.)
